Inauguration of Infrastructures and Launch of the Works of other Projects
Accompanied by a large delegation composed of executives from the sector and local authorities, the Minister of Energy and Sonelgaz CEO have visited, Tlemcen, Bejaia, and Skikda respectively, on the 03, 14, and 17 of February, 2017. These visits allowed them to inspect electricity and gas infrastructures and inaugurate completed facilities.
Wilaya of Tlemcen
During the Tlemcen visit, Gas DPs were inaugurated in several areas, including Sidi Ali Benzemra (municipality of Ain Fettah) for the benefit of 294 households, Sidi Mechhour (municipality of Hammam Boughrara), for the benefit of 450 households, in addition to Ousesser in the municipality of Sabra for 45 households. Additionally, the works of a Gas DP for the supply of 285 households in Tafna were launched (municipality of Bouhnou) and another one in Oued Zitoune to connect 450 households to gas networks.
Moreover, the delegation inaugurated a new commercial agency in Chetouane and another one in Remchi, which underwent extension works, consisting of the transformation of the ground floor into a reception area with an Advising Office, in addition to the restoration of the existing spaces (offices, halls, rest rooms), in addition to outdoor spaces (garden and a 500 m2 parking areas, and the renewal of the fencing).
Wilaya of Bejaia
During the Bejaia visit the delegation attended the commission of Gs QLS Ait Djaath in the municipality of Amalou, which allows the supply with gas of 250 households. This project is part of the five-year project 2010-2010, which consists of the realization of a gas transport network of more than 48 km for the supply of 850 households in Nath Djaat and Issaadounen.
They also visited the mobile power plant in the municipality of Amizour. The beginning of the works in this site goes back to February 21, 2013. The eight gas turbines were installed, while an administrative building and a maintenance workshop still need to be constructed. This facility aims to assure the security of power energy supply in the area, provide extra support for the interconnected network, as well as the reliability and continuity of the service quality.
The delegation has also visited the urban pole Ighzer Azarif in the municipality of Oued Ghir, where the works of electricity supply are ongoing.
Wilaya of Skikda
During the Skikda visit, the delegation inaugurated a Gas DP, which supplies 721 households of the Zaouia area, in the municipality of Ben Azzouz.
