Presentation of the results and development plans of the region
A regional meeting brought together workers from different subsidiaries of the Group located in southwestern wilayas took place on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the Library of the wilaya of Adrar. The results and development plans of the region were on the agenda of this meeting, which was chaired by Sonelgaz CEO with the presence of several CEOs of the subsidiaries as well as the SG of FNTIEG.
The first presentation focused on the main results of the electricity and gas distribution activity in the south-west region of the country, highlighting an improvement of the parameters, especially those relating to service continuity and quality.
The second presentation was devoted to the development plan of the electricity distribution network traced by GRTE
for the pole in Salah - Adrar - Timimoun by 2028. Thus, given the large park of electricity production in the process of realization in the region, this plan of development of HV network provides the realization of seven 220/60 kV workstations and substations12 60/30 kV, in addition to 865 km of transmission lines. The financial investment to be released for these projects amounts to DZD 44 billion.
In his remarks, FNTIEG’s SG spoke about the workers gains and ongoing negotiations to get more bonuses and allowances for the staff. He has, moreover, discussed social services for the benefit of Southern workers. On this accasion, he announced the latest decisions aiming to build more resorts by the sea and has promised to grant more places for this category of beneficiaries. M.Telli also evoked the organization of a caravan of doctors especially for the southern population, the staffing of the new health center, the new financing system for the acquisition of vehicles ... Finally, he emphasized the importance of communication between elected officials and workers.
For his part, the CEO hailed the workers efforts made to ensure a smooth 2018 summer. He also thanked the workers who contributed to restore the situation following the last floods. Evoking achievements and current projects, he noted that the region has known a clear improvement in the service quality, thanks to the company’s investments and the modernization of management. He also called to work together in order to bring down the losses rate and improve the debt collection, to be able to cope with the financing of future energy works.
This meeting was closed with the distribution of medals of merit to workers in the region.
Visit of the construction site of a camp
For maximum comfort for workers in the region
During this trip to the wilaya of Adrar, Sonelgaz CEO and the delegation that accompanied him made a stop at the construction site of a living camp and logistics base for the needs of GRTE and Kahrakib subsidiaries.
This base is located on a 40 000 m2 area, half of which will be devoted to the development of a living camp for a
active staff numbering 400. The other part will be used for the logistics base which will include a maintenance workshop for the company’s vehicles and shops. The activities of this base will allow the creation about one hundred direct and indirect jobs.
Sonelgaz CEO welcomed the merging of spaces between subsidiaries of the group. He gave instructions to make this living camp of high standards and ensure the maximum comfort for the workers of the region.
