For a Coordination of activity within the Group
Mrs BOUBEKER has taken up her position as HSED
Reporting to Sonelgaz Chief Executive Officer, this new Directorate is responsible for developing Sonelgaz Group's HSE policy and ensuring its implementation. It aims at ensuring the regulatory, normative, and technological monitoring of Health, Safety and Environment and consolidating the Group's HSE reports and statements.
As a reminder, a project team within Sonelgaz Holding Company was created in March 2018, in order to prepare proposals of organization and operation of this new structure. This project resulted in the creation of an HSE Directorate (HSED), within the holding company, responsible for this activity and the coordination of its fonctioning within the Group. Thus, the creation of the DHSE will allow the Holding to strengthen its role in terms of steering, supervision and coordinating HSE activity carried out by the Group’s companies. In charge of drafting guidelines, standards and procedures for Health, Safety and Environment, the HSED will ensure the regulatory compliance of Sonelgaz in this field, by organizing and following up the implementation of HSE policy by all the Group’s subsidiaries.
The establishment of this functional structure will also allow to improve the concept of HSE prevention by defining how the policy will be implemented, reporting strategy and system, as well as regulatory and normative monitoring. In this respect, it will develop mechanisms of analysis and risk prevention and will promote the quality of health and environment at work. Finally, the DHSE will represent Sonelgaz Holding Company with regard to national and international authorities in all HSE aspects. The HSE reports produced by this Directorate will meet the expectations of the ministry and the HSE competent bodies. In terms of organization, the HSE Director will be assisted by engineers responsible for the three elements: prevention and safety, health and quality of life at work as well as the environment and sustainable development.
