Khenchela DD Technical Teams Warmly Congratulated
Bad weather that the East of the country witnessed on March 20-26, 2019, caused significant damage to the power grid, particularly in the Wilaya of Khenchela, which experienced heavy showers, a snowstorm, and strong winds exceeding 80 km / hour. After the restoration of electrical energy in a very short time, the Khenchela DD technical teams were warmly congratulated by the Wali (local governor).
The falling of trees on electric lines and the falling of electric poles, caused power cuts in several municipalities of the Wilaya and disturbed the supply of customers with electricity.
To cope with this situation, Khenchela’s Electricity and Gas Distribution Department immediately formed a crisis unit. On the ground, and in several places of the Wilaya, the DD technical teams intervened without interruption to repair the damage and restore power for customers.
This timely response and efforts made on the ground by the technical teams were well appreciated by the local authorities. Indeed, the Wali of Khenchela addressed a letter to the DD of the Wilaya and noted the quality of its technical teams, “Your services mobilized all the necessary human and material resources for the restoration of electrical energy in a very short time; this effort helped absorb the discontent of the concerned populations,” the thank you letter read.
